Yes, that's the simplest way and it should work in principle. However, I've found in practice (and it sounds like Rohit Gudipudi found the same) that this can lead to unpredictable results, for example contacts in other parts of the campaign getting stuck in a cloud connector step. For most campaigns this should work. However, it is safer and more reliable in practice to duplicate the campaign and and replace the original segment with your new one as Rohit suggested.
