We've got the same problem here. Characters such as á, ñ, ö, and å are becoming more and more common in email addresses (not the domain). I've spoken with Eloqua support and they say that their development is working on this but they have yet to release a timeframe when a fix would be applied.
We'd also like a list of valid characters from Eloqua so that we can validate before upload.
